Some of the most common questions people have when thinking about renovations is where to start, who to contact and what consents are required. 

First thing to understand is that the NZ Building Act requires ALL  building work to comply with the building code, whether it is exempt from consent or not. If you are unfamiliar with the NZ Building Code it is best to contact an industry professional.
